4. diFFiculties do not Harden tHe Heart

Driven by her family’s financial difficulties, Daphrose decided,
very humbly, to go to the market to sell potatoes. She noticed that
children were trying to steal what little she had and, instead of
reacting, she tried to understand why they were doing it. She realized
that they lived in the streets, they had no family and so she started the
project for “street children”.

• In a moment of difficulty, Daphrose did not withdraw, rather
she was able to open her heart and see other people’s difficulties.
