God’s Will

I was 26 years old and had been engaged for three years to a
man who did not give importance to having a life plan, something that
I considered fundamental. Pilar, the little one of the Alvira household,
approached me and told me not to worry, but to pray a lot and gave
me a small picture of her parents. [I prayed to the Alvira couple every
day], asking that they help me find «one like Tomás». I started going
to Mass near my house and there I fixed my attention on a young man
who was a friend of my brother’s; we were introduced to each other
and we started going out with each other. One day he confided in me
that he had been praying to Paquita and Tomás for a long time for the
same intention I had: to find a good girl who could share with him the
same idea of marriage and family that I had.
Since then we have been reciting the prayer of the little prayer
card together and making a common request: «help us to love each
other as you do and to fulfill God’s will». We got married and today,
after five years of marriage, we have four wonderful children. We are
very happy and very grateful to Tomás and Paquita for this favor they
