They got married on June 17, 1941 and spent several years in
Madrid, where their first three children were born. In 1946, Eduardo
was elected a member of the Royal Academy of Medicine in Granada
and the family moved there. Here the other four children were born
and, in 1958, they moved to Pamplona, to follow Eduardo who was
called to work at the University of Navarra.

a Friendly Home

The children remember how so many people were always
invited to their house, from friends to their father’s colleagues, to his
students; they often arrived with him for dinner, without telling their
mother. Laura didn’t make a problem of it, she didn’t lose her smile,

she would add a few dishes and then return to finish preparing dinner .

tHeir cHildren’s education

Laura decided to give up her job as a pharmacist in order to
devote herself entirely to taking care of her large family and allow her
husband to be able to concentrate all his efforts on his work. For his ENGAGEMENT, MATRIMONY AND CHILDREN
part, Eduardo took an interest in and followed the lives of his children.
«[He was always there] when we needed something; he followed us
in what we did during the week or on the weekend, he gave us pocket
money. These things we always did with my father» .
