takasHi Became paralyzed From leukemia
«In a makeshift camp on the windswept atomic wasteland,
with two small children in my arms and my body no longer moving,
I carried on with my luminous life». Takashi spent his time writing
books, which quickly became famous and earned him a lot of money.
He spent the last six years of his life offering his earnings for the
reconstruction of the Urakami district: the gardens, the church, the
school, the hospital, the orphanage.
