DAPHROSE MUKANSANGA
(1944-1994)
Daphrose was born on March 14, 1944, to profoundly Christian
parents. In the family, prayer was part of the daily routine as was
attending Mass.
education
The young Daphrose attended high school at an institute run
by the White Sisters. In 1962 Rwanda gained independence and soon
after, in her region, riots and massacres broke out.
Bereavement
The Mukansanga family, along with many others, was deported.
The father fell ill and died, and her sister was killed in one of the
massacres.
