When the accusations proved to be unfounded, Cyprien took his
wife back into the house, but was unable to recognize his mistake and
apologize to her. He knew he was in the wrong and tried to maintain
a polite relationship, but no more than that.

lovinG Beyond measure

Daphrose longed to forgive her husband and wanted to continue
to love him. She prayed for him relentlessly. Cyprien had affairs
outside of their marriage; and a baby girl was born, whom Daphrose
welcomed into the house as a daughter. She accepted this additional
humiliation and did not cease to pray for her husband.

His career

Cyprien was a respected intellectual and his career won him
numerous awards. In 1973, he was appointed Director of the National
Institute of Scientific Research. He was the first Rwandan to hold this
position. ENGAGEMENT, MATRIMONY AND CHILDREN

civic commitment

The studies he had completed convinced the scientist Cyprien
that the people of Rwanda were one, there were no different ethnic or
cultural roots rather a single people, intertwined by family ties.
