LELIA COSSIDENTE
(1893 – 1951)

Lelia was born in Potenza on May 4, 1893, but soon, in order
to follow her father’s work, she moved to Rome.
Being from a wealthy family, before entering elementary
school, she had a teacher who home-schooled her. Her studies
continued until she earned her high school diploma. She taught for a
year in an elementary school, then worked in a bank and finally in a
library. Everywhere her presence was appreciated, and she was well
liked by everyone.
She had an open, cheerful and very strong personality that, in
life, would allow her to find solutions to overcome the most difficult
situations.
