«In front of the children they pursued a single decision,
without ever arguing» . In the letters to their children, we often

read a reference to their spouse: «As dad wrote you, as mom told
you» . This confirmed their attention to always being united, even

in educating their children. Their dialogue took place especially at
dinnertime, which they ate together in the kitchen; when it was late
and the children were already in bed, they took the opportunity to
share their day.

• Let’s reflect on the importance that our children see our unity.
• What image do we give of ourselves to our children when we
eat lunch or dinner together?
• We might decide to set aside a time in the day to share
experiences, exchange opinions, make decisions about our children.
What would we give up to create this time for ourselves?
