Realizing that her mission on earth was coming to an end,
Domenica made her recommendation, both verbally and in writing:
ENGAGEMENT, MATRIMONY AND CHILDREN
«When the Lord calls me to His Kingdom, tell everyone of my
happiness by ringing the celebratory bells» .

To Sister Amalia, who was leaving for Mexico, she confided:

«Now I ask the Lord to make me happy when the time comes to die» .
In another letter she wrote: «What I will have to go through before I
die I accept from now on for the Lord’s sake and I offer it to Him» .

On Monday, February 22, 1971, Domenica suffered a cerebral
stroke. She died on February 27, 1971, surrounded and comforted by
her children.
